| National Performance Measures: Care for Children with Otitis Media with Effusion **Approved by the American Board of Pediatrics for MOC Part 4 credit! This project tested the feasibility and reliability of a set of performance measures to assess the care of children with otitis media with effusion (OME). These measures developed by the AMA-convened Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement and the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and selected by the Ambulatory Care Quality Alliance for use by insurers and health plans have not been evaluated in practice. The measures were then linked with continuing education and quality improvement methods to test strategies that allow pediatricians to improve the effective use of therapeutics in children. |

| Practicing Safety: A Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Project **Approved by the American Board of Pediatrics for MOC Part 4 credit! The aim of this project was to decrease child abuse and neglect by expanding anticipatory guidance and increasing screening for possible child abuse and neglect by pediatric practices to parents of children ages 0-3. QuIIN members implemented tool bundles (Parent Tools, Child Tools, Infant Tools) to determine feasibility and efficiency of bundled tools. For additional information click on the link above. |
